Since 2023, Courtney McCoy envisioned cities where housing could be both affordable and accessible. After spending 25 years in Corporate America—building expertise in IT, Supply Chain, Sales, and and Human Resources at a Fortune 500 company—his passion for entrepreneurship and community empowerment led him to real estate investing.
Inspired by a close friend who was a real estate broker and investor, Courtney began exploring the field, gradually gaining confidence and experience. In 2016, he joined the Real Estate Investors Network (REIN) and by 2019 had launched his first two LLCs focused on property flips and rentals. Since then, Courtney has navigated the challenges of investing firsthand—from rehabbing homes and managing contractors to learning valuable lessons from both successes and setbacks.
With degrees in Engineering and Information Technology, he now leads Urban Axis Group as Founder & CEO, placing him at the forefront of developing income-aligned homes for Nashville’s essential workforce. His strong collaborations with The Urban League of Middle Tennessee reflect his commitment to equitable advancement and community-centered growth. Under his leadership, Urban Axis Group has become a beacon of hope—swiftly delivering quality affordable homes through innovative partnerships with local nonprofits. Courtney’s vision ensures that every development project resonates deeply with the needs of the communities it serves.
